Debt settlement would seem to be increasing as a true option for individuals stuck with debt. I've been watching the trend pretty closely and it is difficult to guage what you receive for your money. I am personally aware there are some debt companies out in the market that serve up superb services and the clients truely receive great benefit, but I'm also aware there are a number of service providers out there that are only focused on collecting customer payments and signing up new subscribers. I am sure this is why there obviosly is all this new govt regulation regarding the debt settlement industry. My brother in law contracted a debt consolidation company and seems to be very happy satisfied with the overall outcome.

We are bewildered the truth about the US population in debt. I used a debt settlement program and under about 13 months they were able to reduce the debt to in the range of 55% of my total credit card debt. I know it was a great decision.

I am always blown away based on the reality of people in debt. I secured a debt consolidation service and after about 13 months I was able to pay near 45% of our total consumer debt. The reality is it was a great decision.
